Astrology: This is an odd sign for Ravenclaw wizards to be born under, but it happens. You'll see them wandering the halls, muttering to themselves or lost in daydreams. Some great Ravenclaw astrologers have been born under this sign. Any magic which involves moonlight and intricate calculations, actually, will attract the Ravenclaw Cancer. They may also be prone to collecting and enchanting white stones that remind them of the moon - pearls, moonstones, opals... These wizards have an extremely dry sense of humour, and are prone to making trenchant observations of the world around them.
Unfortunately for Lisa, she inherited her father's appearance. It aggravates her so much that there was even a point in which she had chopped all of her hair off so it was chin length. She ended up charming it to grow back quickly because she realised that she looked terrible like that.
She stands at the height of five feet, six inches. She's thin for her physique, yes, but definitely not unhealthy. She eats far too much to be allowed legal. But to contradict her eating habits, she spends a lot of time working out. Most of which comes from dancing, of course.
She has caramel brown locks that go to just about her shoulder blades, and a set of brown eyes to be paired along with her elegant appearance. Her skin colour is fair, even if she does at least try to tan. Though it's usually to no avail - she usually burns to the colour of a lobster.
Played-By: Leighton Meester.
Lisa can be quite naive at times. She'll believe things if someone says it convincingly enough, though it's rather hard to confuse her and do this to her. She's as smart as a whip, especially since she wasn't placed into Ravenclaw just for kicks. She has more book intelligence as opposed to 'street smarts', but she's survived this long, so she's quite confident that she's handling things as well as she can.
Due to her childhood and the trauma of her father leaving, she's had a bit of an obsession with making every aspect of her life perfect. It's her own way of showing her father up and making him realise that he shouldn't have left her, because she is a good daughter. Where ever the hell he may be. But in reality? She's a sweetheart. Or so she likes to assume she is. Truth be told? If her father came back, bearing gifts and a hug? She'd more than likely forgive him for leaving them, but it has to be him to make the first move to mend their relationship.
It's because of her father that she's fairly untrusting of men. She'll date them, yes, but giving her heart away? That's something big for her, and if and when she does? He had better be worth it.
Before the youngest Turpin child was brought into this world of magic and malice, her grandmother from her mother's side had already made contact with another family, the Davies, about an arranged marriage. The Davies had just had a son, Roger, who would be about a year or so older than Lisa. Anne had owled Alexander and Emma Davies prior to discussing the matter with her own daughter about betrothing Lisa before she was even born. But the Davies were Pureblood, and knowing that her granddaughter would be promised to another pureblood gave her all of the joy in the world. She hadn't married off Trey this early, because she just had a feeling with him, and he was born before Harry Potter had defeated Lord Voldemort. Lisa was being born in the midst of all of this madness, and she had to be sure that she would be safe and have her life set for her in case anything were to happen.
Lisa Anne Turpin was born on June the twenty-second, in the year of 1980 to McKenzie and Robert Turpin. They had gotten married when McKenzie had gotten pregnant with Trey, and had to rush through the engagement process to get married as soon as possible to make it believeable that she got pregnant during their honeymoon, instead of before their actual union. But just a short month after Lisa had been born, her grandmother Anne had passed away from a cancer that they hadn't detected in enough time to prevent it. Lisa was obviously far too young to remember her properly, but she would find out later in life that her grandmother did something that would change her life forever - something that her mother also had yet to discover.
She grew up in a small city in Italy with her mother and father, and older brother, Trey. When Lisa was the age of six, her father and mother separated from one another, a devastating blow to Lisa. She stayed curled in her bedroom for a week straight, wondering why daddy had left. When she was older she would learn it was due to him taking on a younger mistress - thus causing her trust issues with men.
In 1991, she finally was on her way to Hogwarts. Her brother was never accepted into Hogwarts, but attended Durmstrang instead. He insisted it had a much better education system. Lisa had felt quite alone at Hogwarts until she was sorted into Ravenclaw, and soon made bonds that would serve as her surrogate family while she was there, Mandy and Morag being just a couple of those bonds. And it was in Ravenclaw that she at last met Roger Davies, the young man she was supposed to be married to some day - she just had absolutely no idea of this little arrangement.
She is now attending her seventh and final year at Hogwarts, and while trying to just make it through the year? She's also trying to fend for her life against the dangers that the world has presented to her on a silver platter.
Her father has recently moved back to London, and has been keeping an eye on his easily swayed daughter, for his son has consented to join in with the remaining Death Eaters that are still out there, still rapidly gaining power for Voldemort's ultimate return. He's afraid his son will be killed, and he's damned determined not to let his daughter be swayed into joining them as well, for she's too naive at the worst of times.
